Who Are We?

Originally named Handicapped Education and Living Programs, Inc. (HELP), the organization now known as Riverside Resources, Inc. was founded in 1967 by a small group of parents who saw a need for the development of community based services for children with disabilities. In 1971, a part-time work services program was developed, which expanded into a full time program by 1971. By 1974, the organization acquired its first group home and began providing residential services. Supported living services were added in 1976. Riverside Resources, Inc. has continued to develop and grow over the years, and has provided a variety of needed services to individuals in Leavenworth County while working to maintain a person-centered focus.
